Why does Thunderbird for mac send emails before I press Send?
I find that Thunderbird is sending emails before I have finished them. This seems to happen when I am half way through composing, and need to check something - like which attachment to add - before §i finalise the message. Next thing I see it is already in the folder where it belongs, showing as a sent email. Sometimes there are several copies of the email including the final one I send. In this case, I have not saved it as a draft yet.

What version of Thunderbird are you using?

No, never use shortcuts, I am 'old school'!
I had a friend who was getting quite mad about it. I sat down and watched and yes it was down to the user who was actually unaware of what they had done. I have subsequently answered a few other users who questioned this and they discovered they had just got into a habit of accidently touching those two keys simultaneously. So, I have seen this occur on more than one occasion; literally in a few instances. It has always been the users fault because they do not realise that they are accidentally pressing on the 'ctrl' key (of which there are two) when they press the 'Return/Enter' key.
