I use Dragon Professional Individual, version 15. It's loaded on the Windows 10 operating system. Every time I use it with the Internet I am supposed to be able to dictate into fields and text boxes, with the assistance of the Dragon web extension (a Nuance product).

This functionality never works, ever, on the Internet and my preference is to serve the Internet using Firefox rather than any other browser. Aside from this, my Dragon product works perfectly in all Microsoft applications.

This really needs addressing urgently since there is no online help that covers this specific problem. Every time I restore the Dragon web extension not only did it not work after a restart of Dragon and Firefox, but also the error message comes up the next time, and the next time and the next time please fix it, because there is no way I can see around this as a consumer.

You should contact Dragon support.

Try to disable multi-process windows in Firefox to see if that has effect.

You can disable multi-process windows in Firefox by setting these prefs to false on the about:config page.

  • browser.tabs.remote.autostart = false
  • browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 = false

You can open the about:config page: via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
