I reinstalled thunderbird and there is no calendar and I can not install lightening?

Today Thunderbird started giving troubles and I had to reinstall. When I did I lost my Lightening Calendar and info. I have attempted several times but it will not install. I am told it is not compatible with my version. I need my calendar, it has my appointment and important dates, like traffic court. What am I doing wrong?

Today Thunderbird started giving troubles and I had to reinstall.

Re-installing the application seldom is the solution to fix problems, as those problems are almost always related to the profile.

In any case, Lightning is bundled with Thunderbird. So when re-installing the application, Lightning gets installed as well.

I am told it is not compatible with my version.

What is your version of Thunderbird?

Is Lightning visible in the Add-ons Manager window?

What exactly did you do to install Lightning?
