How do I get Adobe to open a pdf attachment rather than Word being the default opener which won't work?
Some emailed PDF attachments automatically select Word instead of Adobe for attempted opening. Have to save it to desktop and redirect opening to Adobe Reader.

On the Thunderbird menu bar Tools - Options - Attachments - Incoming tab (If menu bar is hidden - press Alt)
Find the entry for application/pdf, pdf and change it to your preferred pdf reader.
