I have followed your directions to "update" firefox, as I keep getting the popup to update v41.x to v42.x - but I tell it "Ask later" as the popup usually crashes my streaming, my profile is setup to "ask before installation updates". I have this server down for maint, wanted to apply the update, but the popup does not appear, I changed profile settings to auto update, still no popup to update, I clicked the "help/about" it does not update as per your online instructions. How does one update Firefox when doing it on a scheduled basis? As your instructions do NOT work and all I want to do is update Firefox during server maint but there NO option to install/check for updates. Seriously? Please advise, Regards - Win7 PRO for most workstations,

Did you try to close and restart Firefox to apply the update in case the update has already been downloaded?

You can always download the full installer if Firefox doesn't update. You can find the full version of the current Firefox release (42.0) in all languages and all operating systems here:
