I have Firefox 14.0. I have att.net with Yahoo mail, classic. When I open a webpage either through mail or browser, I cannot click on items on the fringe of the page. I have no problem when I use Google Chrome. What am I doing wrong?

That problem can be caused by an extension like the Yahoo! Toolbar or a Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

What do you mean by the fringe? Do you mean the sides or the bottom or both?

Usually it's both. It's the very top or sides, but most of the time the extra headings are on the top. For instance, on this very page, I am unable to click on "inbox" or "other applications".

Thanks! I disabled an extension that was downloaded when I was trying to watch the Olympics on line. I deleted the extension, and now everything is fine! Thanks again!
