Adobe Flash Player will not download unless I close Firefox

I'm trying to download Adobe Flash Player 10.2 for a program that requires an Adobe upgrade. However, Adobe says it will not download until I close Firefox. Since I need to have Firefox open to be on the internet I'm in a catch 22. Please help.

You can download and save the Flash player installation file to the desktop. Then you can close Firefox and double click that icon to start the installation of the Flash plugin.
