Thunderbird won't send emails between 2 AOL accounts

Hi I have just set up AOL accounts for 3 email addresses on Thunderbird. I have set them up as pop accounts and each account can receive emails and send emails ok but the really strange thing is they won't send from one AOL email address to another AOL email address which is something we quite often do as as family. All have pop.aol.com and port 995 along with smtp.aol.com and port 465. Hopefully someone will know what is going on.

Can't think of a reason, except some new? AOL policy, or bug in one of their updates? Can't find a provider besides AOL? I've used one (not yoo-hoo or gee-mule, etc) for many yrs (10+ ??), many addresses w/ rarely a hiccup.

If AOL has settings (logged into your acct on their site) to add contacts to your list, so won't be flagged as spam, etc.
