Cant Get back my Firefox Bookmarks

amoun replied
Vic

I have recently got a new (2nd Hand) PC,after my old kit became U/S,after an attempted reinstall of windows 10. my current PC 1s windows 11. Is there any way I can Retreive my old bookmarks? I have tried getting them from my old backups, but win 11 shows them as insecure! i would appreciate some help with this problem. Is there any possible way I can retrieve my bookmarks? my old pc was a dell,my new one is HP.

I should mention that I am 81 years old and am dissabled with a long term illness, so I am not computer savvy

Thank you

but win 11 shows them as insecure!

I wouldn't worry too much, it is likely that modern security protocols do have issues with old 'stuff'

Once you have Fx installed, you can create another Profile and install old backs to that. So is it doesn't work you just delete the profile., and you are back to square one.

In the url/address bar you can type 'about:profiles' and there you will see an option to create a new profile. On that page - later - you can switch or delete profiles as you will.

Win 11 says insecure ????

How did you try to get them from the old Win 10?
