Opt-Out Signal Honored

jbr replied
Rhonda

As of yesterday, I have a message on Inspire.com which says Opt-Out Signal Honored It even says that before I log in. They are checking at their end, can you please help me? This is the only website that I receive this message.

Also, I am receiving more and more pop-ups that say WARNING SECURITY RISK "Be careful. Something doesn’t look right."

"Firefox spotted a potentially serious security issue with tracenep.bidprism.com. Someone pretending to be the site could try to steal things like credit card info, passwords, or emails." Some are websites I use, some are not. I don't remember adding this to my list or changing any of my extension settings. Please Help.

Thank you very much.

It depends on whether your setting is to actually opt–out of selling data to brokers etc. or not, see support.mozilla.org/questions/1573653

Thanks for responding however, I haven't changed any settings in a very looong time. I log into this website frequently, then suddenly out of the blue, I get this message. I haven't done anything new or changed my settings. Let me know if you have a better answer.

So the site operator or their marketing vendor just enabled some privacy feature on their side then, or got it to a broken state reading signals incorrectly, if that's what you're hinting at.

I don't understand what the question is.

Do you want them to sell your data? Do you want them not to sell your data? Do you want them to stop honoring the preference? Do you want to verify what your preference is? Do you want to tell them what your preference is but don't want them showing you that fact back? Do you suspect your setting and the request/response for that setting do not match?
