This "built-in VPN" in Firefox feature is experimental and is being introduced to the Firefox user base through a progressive rollout starting in Fx 149.0. It may not yet be available to all users.

Users will have 50 gigabytes of data monthly in the U.S., France, Germany and U.K. to start. Available in Firefox 149 starting March 24.

To use VPN, you need to sign in with a Mozilla account. If you’re eligible, you’ll see a prompt in the Firefox toolbar inviting you to set up the feature.

Thanks James but I've read all that already and still nothing. Who is getting this roled out to them and when, what does the 'VPN setup prompt in the top-right corner of your Firefox toolbar' look like, exactly. Nothing has allowed me to find it and click on it. I am already on 149, and nothing, nothing, nothing. I need a VPN now

Hi Thom

What country are you currently based in? The Firefox VPN may not yet be available in your locale.

Thanks Paul - Maybe that is why. I am in Mexico right now, which is in fact why I need a VPN right away.
