I recently received an alert about a couple of unresolved breaches listed at the Firefox Monitor site. So I signed in to take a look. One of the breaches was a site for which I never actually had an account. Evite But for which it is possible I may have received communications from, like an evite to something at a different email address. I am curious as to how there could have been a breach of my email password for which I received the alert ... since I never had an account for Evite, and never directly interacted with evite at the "breached" email address

sort of a mystery

Is there a facility in Firefox for shortcut auto-completion of commonly-entered text, like my email address?

In Mac OS itself, we use the 'text' tab in keyboard system preferences, but those shortcuts don't work in Firefox.

Thanks.

Hi,

I am a student investigating multiple ways for crash report prioritization. I am using Firefox Mozilla for data collection. While looking into the crash reports, I am unsure about what does "frame count" mean. And I also looked into the reference website (https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/documentation/datadictionary/), and did not find it. I am wondering if there is any other reference document I can look into? Thank you so much!

I am unable to use the Firefox feature to store a saved credit card. When I attempt to do so I enter all the CC details accordingly, but clicking the "save" button results in no action taken. The cc modal just sits there and nothing happens no matter how many times you click save. Please advise.

I am often switching office and change my system default printer always first when I am in a new place. I learned from the community here that the right thing to do for having Firefox/Thunderbird follow this choice is set print_printer to 'default'. The problem is that this does only work for a while. As soon as I use the selection dropdown in the printing dialog (e.g. to exceptionally select the PDF printer) it will overwrite 'default' by that printer. The consequence is that from that time on I have to manually select the printer or got to the config editor again to set 'default'. Is there any simple solution I overlooked?

If not can you tell me how I can make a feature request? A simple solution would be to include something like 'System Default' in the dropdown list in the printing dialog. Although for my taste, it would be better to have the selection in the printer dialog only temporary and return to the previous printer selection for the next printing.

Hi

Firefox 109.0.1 (64-bit) Mac Ventura 13.1

Google search page and a lot of sites (not all for example this support page) are having trouble rendering fonts.

I have attached screenshots which demonstrates the problem. The thing I do not understand if I go to the developer tools and alter the "font-family" from "font-family:Ariel, Sans-serif" to just "font-family:Sans-serif" bingo the font renders, the screenshots show this.

Other browsers like Chrome are having no difficulties.

There must be something simple I am missing, I have done a search but nothing is standing out as a solution.

Help would be appreciated. Cheers

Three settings available: Light, Dark, Automatic. Automatic is not following my system display settings for "Night Shift", which is set to "Sunset to Sunrise". All Automatic mode does is lock Google.com into dark mode. I have to set it to "Light" to see google.com normally.

As someone that uses the command line terminal a lot, I constantly find myself pressing the "tab" button on my keyboard when typing a URL in the address bar to accept the current suggestion and move to the next segment. For example:

  1. I want to go to www.example.com/segment1/segment2
  2. I'll start typing "exa" and since I visit this site a lot, Firefox helpfully completes example.com
  3. I would like to press "tab" on my keyboard to have Firefox complete example.com/ then I can type "seg" and Firefox could complete it to "example.com/segment1

I know I can do this by pressing the right arrow key, but that requires me to lift my right hand off to press it. I would like to be able to easily do this with the "tab" key which my pinky can quickly press. Pressing "tab" currently, has Firefox pick some complete url which I don't want, i.e. www.example.com/segmentA/segmentB

Regardless of the OS or Browser , trying to access the site https://www.googleadservices.com/ results with a failure described as "We can’t connect to the server at www.googleadservices.com."

Specifically this error message was just obtained on macOS Ventura 13.1 on my Intel based MacBook Pro using Firefox 109.0.1. It happens on all Windows machines I tried, on my iPad and iPhone.

I saw at least a million similar questions similar to this one, even more advices on how to address it - and no answer helps.

When Firefox automatically updated to 109.1 tonight, I lost all my saved passwords and bookmarks. The bookmarks aren't in a file under 'Restore' in 'Manage Bookmarks' (but I had saved them so I got most of them back). But I can't get my passwords. What happened?
