I just got a new Mac laptop and I again chose Firefox as my default browser. I used to have a series small tabs of frequently accessed websites at the top of the firefox home page...like my google email, Amazon, etc. I tried to do that again, only now I end up with a whole series of websites and bookmarks all across the top of the page : Yahoo, Bing, Wikipedia, Twitter, etc,. etc. I want to get rid of this lineup and I'd like to be able to add my personal email, and a few other frequently visited websites. I thought that these small tabs at the top of the page were called shortcuts - but after turning the toggle on an off in firefox settings and not changing a thing - I don't know what they are or how to delete what's there and get my person tabs back. Please help.

Lately, whenever I click into a youtube video from within youtube, instead of Firefox blocking autoplay, it mutes the video but lets it play.

Initially, it was muting EVERY video I pulled up, but messing with my settings has fixed the problem if I click into a youtube video from elsewhere (ex. a google search result), or if I refresh the page. It's super annoying to having navigating youtube be this non-functional right now, though, since everything just silently plays until I catch and unmute it! Any help would be super appreciated!

Setting up a new Macbook air m5 and trying to sync my profile/bookmarks/etc. on FireFox but the confirmation code is not arriving at my gmail. Checked spam and added "accounts@firefox.com" to my contacts but still not arriving. Help?

I cannot see imported bookmarks from previous browser after reformatting. I exported old bookmarks to a html file. It shows 'bookmarks imported successfully' but there is nothing in the bookmarks toolbar.

I am trying to create a separate, standalone Mozilla account using my work email address, but I am stuck in an account routing loop after deleting it as a secondary email from my personal account.

I added my work email as a secondary email to my personal Mozilla account long time ago, 4 days ago deleted the secondary email from my personal account settings to register it as a separate account instead.

Attempted to sign up at accounts.firefox.com, but the system automatically routes the email to the Sign In screen instead of the Sign Up screen. I encountered Error messages entering a password on the Sign-in screen displays: "Primary account email required for sign-in".

Then requesting a password reset displays: "Unknown account".

Troubleshooting Already Tried:

Tried signing up in Private/Incognito windows across multiple browsers (Firefox, Chrome).

Waited over 72 hours for the system cache to clear, but the sign-in page still routes the address as an existing account.

Can you please escalate this to the Mozilla Accounts operations team to clear or purge the stale secondary email mapping for work email in the sign-in lookup index.

I purchased a new Apple laptop, a MacBook Neo, & need to import bookmarks from my old MacBookAir to the Neo. No success thus far after going to Mozilla article "Sync bookmarks...." & following those instructions.

Hello! My Firefox browser is currently in a state where all fonts/letters in the Firefox interface (bookmark bar, settings, about page, website name...) are replaced by undecipherable characters.

I've searched for similar problems already and tried so far the following steps to resolve, unsuccesfully...

• Opening the browser in Safe Mode / Deactivating all extensions
• Uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox

• Disabling hardware acceleration
• Trying on another profile




When I copy paste said text to another window (ex: Notepad, Chrome Browser…) it appears properly. And as you can see in the screenshots below the text in actual websites is readable -- only the browser's interface, setting, address bar... are scrambled.

Does that bug rings any bell? Do you have any other troubleshooting steps I should try to resolve this? Any help will be appreciated! : )

I am in China and do not seem to be able to connect to the Mozilla Firefox VPN, to access my gmail (and other features). When I try to turn it on, I get a message: "Could not connect to VPN: Try again in a few minutes" I did this many times. Should I continue trying or is it hopeless?

For the past few weeks, I have been having problems playing certain Facebook videos. It seems to only happen when I try to play a video that was recorded live. I have tried clearing the cache, I've tried a private window, and I've tried safe mode. I still can't get the video to play. However, when I copy and paste the url to Safari, it works fine. I have been able to play "live" videos while they are actually "live"; it's just that they will not load when I try to play them later. I don't have any problems playing videos which have been uploaded to Facebook; only those which were recorded live. The videos just show a circle in the middle as if they are trying to load but nothing else happens. The length of the video does not matter; it happens with short videos as well as long ones. The screenshot image (of a random "live" video I found) I am uploading shows a partial black circle in the center, which is a spinning circle in realtime. I have circled it in red.
