I get a pop up message from Thunderbird stating the the connection to server pop.earthlink.net was reset. I have to reboot my PC to be able to download emails. Is there a setting I need to change? Thanks.

What is your anti-virus software?

PC Matic. I tried turning it off but still had to reboot the PC to get email working again.

Try to start Windows 11 in safe mode with networking enabled.

Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in troubleshooting mode. Does the problem go away?

Windows safe mode disables anti-virus software. This is a troubleshooting step, not a solution.

The problem isn't always there. thunderbird will work for weeks and then at random I will get the Reset message and will have to reboot.
