Lost passwords after Windows 11 upgrade
Hello,
Several passwords were saved by Firefox. They are only saved locally ( no sync with Mozilla account). I recently upgraded my laptop from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Since the upgrade, no password is available in "Saved Password" section. I checked my profile and I can find logins.json file ( with all encypted logins and passwords) and key4.db file. I suppose my passwords cannot be decrypted as they were encrypted with Windows 10.
Is there a way to recover my passwords?

Hi
If you do not have a separate backup of your data or have them synced to Firefox on another device, I am sorry, but it is very unlikely that you will be able to recover them.

Thank you for your answer. I didn't sync them to another device but I have a backup of my data. logins.json, key4.db files and all other files of my profile are there.

Are those files you have from a separate backup you took before the update?

yes. Migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11 didn't update files under profile. It just seems like password were encrypted with Windows 10 and cannot be uncrypted with Windows 11.
