I have a work account that is temporarily paused while I am on leave. I am not currently able to log in, so the auto login fails, and keeps bugging me for the correct password, which will not work since the account is temporarily suspended. I don't want to delete the account, there are emails in there I need to access, and the account will be restored when I get back to work. How do I pause the account so it doesn't keep trying repeatedly to log in and asking me for the password?

Copy the messages to subfolders of Local Folders so they are accessible, then remove the account in Account Settings. Add it back when it's no longer suspended.

Moving or removing accounts to pause sending and receiving email within an account is not an acceptable option. This is such a simple thing. Why is it not available?
