Issue 1: When using Shift+F5 to Get All New Messages: This command used to go through my accounts within several seconds; but now this can take several minutes. What changed to cause this?
Issue 2: I have one account that is having server problems... causing must click popups in TB. How do I exclude this account when using Shift+F5? I've tried Unchecking the boxes for "Check for new messages at startup" and "Check for new messages every xx minutes". And one help result suggests "Disable immediate notifications: Uncheck"; but I do not see such a setting.

I have been using Thunderbird for over 5 years. I am presently using version 128.11.1esr and I update it often. Many e-mails have been put into an "Archive" folder but I just noticed that all of the items put there are now gone. The "Archive" folder is empty. The account that this is attached to is AOL, xxx@verizon.net.
Are there any thoughts on how this could have happened? I am hoping I can get the items back.

I don't even know how to explain what happened - I just know this is my booked jobs for the rest of the 2025!! The folders are "greyed out" and it says "0kb"
I see the emails on webmail though - but not my own answer emails and not in folders (= very messy)
I really really don't know what to do!

IMAP with Kerberos/GSSAPI is works correctly. Evolution works correctly with the same SMTP settings (it logs in and sends emails).

Hello My wife was writing a long email and saved at regular intervals. Today my wife asked where here email, in drafts, was as she could only find one with a few characters for the message .... it's possible that she has blank the whole draft at some point and hence the saved draft with just 3 characters. Is there anyway to access the previosuly saved versions? Even if she could access one which only had 3/4 or 1/2 of what she typed it would help .... I feel that the lastest version of the saved message is all she has ?? Anyone know different? Many thanks in anticipation Neill

Hello guys: In MANY YEARS of using Thunderbird, my Incoming messages have started collected in Trash INSTEAD of in the 'Inbox' Folder ALWAYS set in 'Inbox' Folder set as the default: I have spent a lot of times searching for the cause of this malfunction but I can't find to find the cause and the way how to resolve this malfunction. As everyone using Thunderbird knows, TB folders are displayed in a column down the left side. Four of those folders are named "New Folder With Items" (three with numbers … (kàsi)
As everyone using Thunderbird knows, TB folders are displayed in a column down the left side. Four of those folders are named "New Folder With Items" (three with numbers appended to the name). Those folders are empty, and I have no idea how they got there in the first place. I've tried deleting them but they always remain as before. I've attached a screenshot of those folders.
This is not a "serious" problem, just an annoying one. Any ideas how to actually delete those folders?

all of a sudden i can not see the body iof the message of a email.
Why are some of my messages showing fine but up to 60% are showing HTML code. This has only happened since the last updated release and it sucks.

This has been working for years but my last sent message was 4/27/2024. Obviously I don't use the account much!
Server smtp.rcn.com is OK and I tried both ports that RCN said should work. Connection security SSL/TLS (I tried others). Authentication method - encrypted password (I tried others). Username should be OK too - my name before the @rcn.com. That has been that way for a long time.
Any ideas? I can receive emails just fine.
I am on the latest release. 139.0.1 (64-bit)

When I open and email. The senders lettering is very large and over laps. See attachment. Is this something you can help with.

After upgrading the Thunderbird Desktop, when editing the email, I found that the previously saved email template could not be found, and there was no entry to open the template in the menu bar either. I couldn't find a solution, please help. (PS. In the red box of the screenshot, it was originally a mail template.)
