How do I stop firefox from saving history and form data all of a sudden (when settings are still set to never remember history or form data and always delete?)
I have always had my firefox settings on maximum privacy. One day firefox started saving my hisotyr, form data, etc. It is still set to "never remember history" but it is doing it anyways. This is on my laptop.

Let's review your history settings on the Options page.
- Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
- Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
- Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
- Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it
In the left column, click "Privacy & Security" and then on the right side, what do you have in the History section?
- Firefox will: Remember history
- Firefox will: Never remember history => history is retained only in memory and discarded when you exit all Firefox windows
- Firefox will: Use custom settings for history -- In this case, what are your settings below that option?
- "Always use private browsing mode" => if on, then history is retained only in memory and discarded when you exit all Firefox windows
- "Remember my browsing and download history"
- "Remember search and form history"
- "Clear history when Firefox closes"
Do you have your Firefox connected to the Sync service, so it might be storing history from a different installation of Firefox?
