From time to time the Thunderbird Title bar turns black making screen controls invisible. I am not able to close or minimize the window except by guessing the location of the control.

Why does this happen and how can I reverse it?

Thanks

Mark

This is Windows 8.1? What version of Thunderbird? And how long has it been happening?

Hello Wayne,

Thanks for the response.

Yes Windows 8.1 and a very old version 24 of Thunderbird.

I updated to the new version and am hoping that this solves the problem.

It has been going on for about a year. Seems to be related to stressing the software.

I assume that the problem is solved for now.

Thanks

Mark
