have problems with multiple versions of Flash and Firefox for some months now. I have no problem with Flash an Internet Explorer. I get Firefox and Flash update
I have downloaded various versions of both and continually have problems with Flash crashes. I found Flash 13 and 15 in my add-ons list. I could not find a Firefox tool for deleting them so I would set one to Never Activate and the other to Always Ask to Activate and a couple of pages Flash would not crash, but within a few moments they would both be set to one or the other and be in conflict which each other. Same thing when I would set either version to Never activate and the other Ask to Activate. I down loaded Flash uninstaller, uninstalled Flash, upgraded to Firefox 35 and installed Flash 16. The Add-ons Manager shows that I have in Plug-ins, Shockwave Flash 16.0.0.305. Now I cannot get any pages without a Flash crash. I used Firefox for a long time and got to like it but I have wasted so much time trying to search for answers to this very frustrating situation I will have to give up. I hope someone can be of help but until then I will have to use Internet Explorer. Thanks for listening.

Best to uninstall Adobe Flash completely and then reinstall the latest version from scratch.
First, grab the Adobe uninstaller from here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
Then download the latest Flash Plugin version from here: Select Plugin-based browsers https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
Run the Flash uninstaller program, then reboot your PC. Then install the Plugin version of Flash. So you'll have a clean installation of Flash for Firefox.
Thank you very much for your reply. I followed the instructions in the above reply and was very happy that Flash started working. Thought maybe I sure wait a couple of weeks to make sure it was stable. I have not touched Firefox or Flash since. However it is failing to run again. Flash plug-in is set to always activate. I tried to view a video, Flash crashed, I reloaded the page and now all I get is a blank space on every page where a video should be playing and a stuttering -busy(rotating)-cursor. Any ideas what is happening?
You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:
- check for updates for your graphics drive drivers
https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration - disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
- disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

After following all earlier suggestions/instructions nothing helped. The latest one, to install a possibly stable Flash version 17 seems like it might be the solution.
Someone suggested that getting tutorials from the Internet through a data plan from my cell phone provider might help with my internet cost.
Thanks for the suggestion, however that is what I am using that is so costly.
Nothing else available in my area.
Thanks to all,
Giovanni
Are there still two versions of Flash in your add-ons list?
Here's something you can try: Disable hardware acceleration in Flash
1. Go to this Adobe Flash Player Help page. 2. Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page, then click on Settings in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open. 3. Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel. 4. Remove the check mark from Enable hardware acceleration.
I can't say that I have had a problem playing videos in Flash because I could always play them in browsers other than Firefox.
In Firefox Tools>options>Advanced Hardware acceleration is turned on. I don't know if that is different that tuning it off and on in Flash or not, but for now it is a moot point.
As I stated in my previous message, after following all earlier suggestions/instructions nothing helped. But The latest one, someone suggested that maybe version 17 of Flash might be a stable version.
I made no other changes except to install it, a few days ago, and so far so good.
Many thanks for your help,
Giovanni
Ok, great! Be sure to mark them as the answer so other people who have your problem will be able to find this post more easily.
