Tabs not behaving normal. Just installed v11. Tabs open wherever they wish, and when a tab closes, the neighbor tabs do NOT move left as in 3.6. How does one remove the tab groups or whatever is not keeping tabs against the left-most edge of the tab bar?

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

You can also try to reset the preferences.

i disabled all addons and set default theme. still not working. created a new profile, and the tabs function as they should. what can control tabs NOT moving left??

Did you try to reset the prefs or at least look at tab related prefs (Filter: tab) to see if any were changed that could cause this issue?
