I am a teacher and all of a sudden I can't get on my parish website's group wise so that I can check my email from home. The tech dept. says that I need to find the compatability button, but I don't know where that is. Do you have any suggestions?

I can no longer access my school's group wise account so that I can read my emails from home. My tech dept. says it has something to do with the compatability button as the parish's system uses internet explorer and I don't have that. I use Firefox.

Any suggestions on what I need to do?

The compatibility button is an Internet Explorer feature that relaxes standards so older web sites will work with newer versions of IE. I think the person with whom you spoke may not be familiar with Firefox.

I assume GroupWise was working in Firefox 3.6?

I don't know whether this thread is helpful, because I don't really understand the setting to which it refers, but you might take a look: With Firefox 4 Installed, I can't type in the message box in GroupWise Client, when i uninstall it, I can.
