In order to do this you must install the plugin (Adobe Flash Player) Just visit the link below to get it:
GET IT
The above post was for your Flash Problem with the videos and Facebook games!
The version of Flash Player that you are using ( Shockwave Flash 10.1 r82 ) was replaced on 09/20/2010 due to serious security issues. It may help if you update Flash.
- Check your plugin versions: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
- Note: plugin check page does not have information on all plugin versions
- Update Shockwave Flash
- Use Firefox to Download and SAVE to your hard drive from one of the links below; the links take you directly to the download and you avoid the "getplus" download manager and "extras" (i.e., toolbars, virus scan links, etc.) on the main Adobe page.
- SAVE to your Desktop so you can find it
- After download completes, close Firefox
- Click on the file you just downloaded and install
- Note: Vista and Win7 users may need to right-click the installer downloaded and choose "Run as Administrator"
- Note: Most browsers other than IE will also get updated with this one download
- Note: To update IE, same procedure but use IE to go: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe
- After installation, restart Firefox and check your version again.
- Download links and other information:
- or you can download, save, then run the manual installers for IE, then for Firefox (and all other browsers) from here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html#main_ManualInstaller
- Also see: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Installing+the+Flash+plugin
- Also see (if needed): http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html#main_Uninstall
You also have other plugins that have known security risks and need to be updated.
- Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 11.0
- Java Plug-in 1.6.0_12 for Netscape Navigator (DLL Helper)
- Check your plugin versions: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
- Note: plugin check page does not have information on all plugin versions
- Update Shockwave for Director
- NOTE: this is not the same as Shockwave Flash; this installs the Shockwave Player.
- Use Firefox to download and SAVE the installer to your hard drive from the link in the article below (Desktop is a good place so you can find it).
- When the download is complete, exit Firefox (File > Exit)
- locate and double-click in the installer you just downloaded, let the install complete.
- Restart Firefox and check your plugins again.
- Download link and more information: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using+the+Shockwave+plugin+with+Firefox
- Update Java:
- Download and update instructions: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using+the+Java+plugin+with+Firefox
- Removing old versions (if needed): http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/remove_olderversions.xml
- After the installation, start Firefox and check your version again.
Updating those was a good idea, but didn't work. The applications on Facebook still don't run in Firefox. Still can't play videos either.
btw, here is the error message I get 1/10 of the time I try to open Firefox. The instruction at "0x7b1a77a9" referenced memory at "0x7b1a77a9", the memory could not be "read".
Another 1/10 of the time I am able to load it no problem. The other times it either will load the process, but wont open the session, or session will open and all tabs will be "untitled".
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems and Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
All problems are the same in safe mode with everything turned off, or on. I find that 100% of the time whenever I click "restart firefox" the error message with the computer memory code pops up.
Safe mode also hase a hard time getting to a session that will load the interwebs. I have to try several times to get a non-untitled page.
But, seriously, I think it is all just the newer version of Firefox. If anyone has a link to the older version, I will uninstall this one, and reinstall that one. I think that would fix my problems.
