I use a MacBook Pro and have been using Firefox (up-to-date version) as my default browser. The Firefox logo always appeared on the menu bar at the bottom of the screen, but today, it no longer does.

You can re-pin the icon to the dock by CTRL Click on the Firefox icon when Firefox is launched. Hope it works!
