My Mozilla Thunderbird server is down and has been since last Friday. Are you working on the server ? Why don't you advise us when you are going to work on it?
I have been unable to get Thunderbird server to open since last Friday. This has occurred in the past but not for so long and I have always wondered why the Thunderbird server often goes off line in the late afternoon and in the evening. The total lack of a service is obviously not OK but is the late afternoon closure acceptable? My main problem now is how to get my Thunderbird server back. Why don't you advise us when you are going to work on it?

In broad terms, I'd say this:
There is no "Thunderbird server". Thunderbird talks to your email provider's servers.
Thunderbird is an email client - a program that runs on your computer and talks to servers. Thunderbird has no mail servers and does not issue or support email accounts.
However there is one particular lookup made to a mozilla server which sometimes hampers emailing when it fails, though I can't remember right now quite what it does. Do you have the exact wording of the error message?
