To the point: Using Windows 10,recently upgraded from Win 8.1, I cannot get the latest driver out of the following manufacturer's support web site (say you were looking for "Pixma"): http://www.canon.ca/inetCA/en/inFrame?m=showInFrame&url=http://canoncanada.custhelp.com/

On my fresh install, if I click "DRIVERS, SOFTWARE & MANUALS" (SIC) using Firefox 40.0.2 I get an apparently empty form.

Everything appears normal, and is useable, when using the Edge 20.10240.16384.0 browser, I am almost sorry to say.

Have you checked with their support? They may not be ready for Win 10.

I do not see your point - I cannot even see the drivers for my product through Firefox. Everything is fine with Microsoft's browser. I would like Firefox to allow me to browse the web site's section, just like Edge.

I do not think this is Canon's problem!

Works for me with Firefox 40. If I enter pixma in the search bar on the page that opens if I click "DRIVERS, SOFTWARE & MANUALS" then I get a selection drop-down list. If I select an item then I get a window with some files to download.

Can you attach a screenshot of what you see?

  • Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
  • Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB

If you use extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Hmm, thank you. I do have AdBlock but the issue persists even when it is disabled. The other add-on I have installed is HTTPS Everywhere.

The page does look ok when Firefox is started in Safe Mode.

I'll troubleshoot more later... thanks! Picture of the problem attached.
