I have made Firefox my default browser and am attempting to import my bookmarks from my AVG browser. However, when the choice menu appears, all browsers are shown except AVG. Any help appreciated. TIA.

I am writing to inquire about the possibility of searching and organizing bookmarks on the Android app using tags. I have recently organized years of Firefox bookmarks on the desktop app by tagging my bookmarks and removing them from folders. I would very much benefit from being able to use a tag-based workflow on mobile as I do on desktop. I notice this question was first raised about 10 years ago. I would like to know if there are any updates, or if perhaps there is an add-on that can fill this gap. Thank you!

I have two questions.

1. Can I import bookmarks into Firefox for Android using an html file?

I have Fx 123 for Android. I expected to see "Manage Bookmarks" at the bottom of the bookmarks menu like what is found in one of the article's screenshots. However, "Manage Bookmarks" doesn't appear.

I have synced my android tablet to my linux pc, but when i try to open the desktop bookmarks folder, I get a message saying I can't edit default folders. I know it's synced, because when I search bookmarks for a bookmark that I know to be on my pc, it comes up. The problem is that the folder will not open.

I have tried reinstalling. I don't know what else to try.

I signed into my Firefox account on my android device expecting to be able to access the bookmarks in my bookmarks bar. I cannot find those bookmarks in the android app. All I see are Desktop bookmarks Anyone know how to access bookmarks in bookmark bar?

I use Firefox on at least three different devices, and my Firefox account is linked on all these devises. And I have a huge amount of bookmarks, and almost daily create new bookmarks, as well as store links into existing bookmarks on my Linux Laptop. The problem is that when I then later use my Android smart phone or my Android Samsung Tablet, the bookmarks are not reflected in the same user friendly fashion as it was created or seen on my Linux Laptop. So much so that it is extremely user unfriendly and nearly impossible to store a link into an existing bookmark or to create a new sub-bookmark into an existing bookmark - also because the bookmarks can not be collapsed or navigated as easily as on my main device, which is the Linux Laptop. I need Firefox to reflect my bookmarks in exactly the same fashion and same order as I create them, and I need the bookmarks be be collapsable and navigable. I really want to use Firefox, but this disability forces me to now use Chrome, and I do not want that. Please fix the bookmarks in Firefox. Please add the following features.

Once the bookmarks are in a collection, then save the whole collection to bookmarks.

When selecting open tabs to save, have the ability to save to both collections and bookmarks at the same time.

Have the ability to select all open tabs so you don't have to select individual tabs.

It appears to me that one can only rearrange or move the position of a bookmark (in Firefox) via a PC and not with an android phone.

Is this correct? If not, could said instructions for doing so via an android phone be forwarded?

The official instructions say to put a bookmark in a folder click on three dots, click to edit, then click on either a particular folder or some non-existent generic folder button. In my version of android Firefox, neither alternative is possible. If I go from the edit bookmark screen to the preceding general screen (where the folders are listed) and click on a folder, both happens, the bookmark is not transferred to the folder. As for the second, one is told to open the edit function and then click on the folder button. But there is no folder button. How to do it? I'm running android 14 on a Galaxy A14.

Recently my Firefox browser updated, but my bookmarks didn't.

If I try about:profiles from the address bar, nothing happens.

How do I go about accessing other profiles and enhanced settings on Android.

I don't understand why my bookmarks are and other settings weren't migrated, or why before the update a warning wasn't displayed that the data would be lost or why it wasn't exported as plain text so that nothing was lost??

My computer laptop is bit outdated. I will get a new laptop soon. However, I do have some problems with my cellphone. Will be doing Factory Reset this weekend or later. But, I need to save my bookmark on my cellphone. Is there a better way than not be able to use export.

I can't seem to find a way to pin bookmark tiles on the homepage (new tab). I also want to stop recently visited site tiles from appearing there if possible. Homepage and Customize in Settings don't seem to have any options for that now. Android 14, Firefox 120.0.1, Pixel 7a phone.

Hi there, I recently downgraded Firefox on my Android (5.1.1), as the new versions of the app became to get heavy.

I have logged in with my Account and am now trying to get the bookmarks synced. I have no Desktop right now to pair. The bookmarks and the Account are only available on my iPad, where FF is logged in and has the bookmarks synced.

Through lunch overboard I can't employee problems Chrome to Firefox on the same Samsung A7 or my A8 tablet. I followed directions and cannot call me most people think ing we got to help.

Good morning everyone. I find managing bookmarks on Firefox for Android extremely difficult. To open a bookmark I have to click on bookmarks, desktop bookmarks, bookmarks bar, favorites bar and choose the bookmark. A very long journey. Furthermore, once I have opened a bookmark and subsequently want to open another one I have to repeat the same very long procedure, Firefox does not resume from the folder where I opened the last bookmark, as happens in other browsers. I don't know if I explained myself. Can it be remedied somehow?

I have Firefox 118.1.0. I am unable to access file:///data/data/org.mozilla.firefox/files/mozilla/ in the browser's address bar. How would I access this? I wanted the bookmarks file.
