I won't check a box that opts me into observational and INTERVENTIONAL studies that I won't even be aware that I'm in since I don't look every 5 minutes at the settings and may do things like the evil sort of one fb ? did that changed your emotions.
That's a great example of why I moved to Firefox from Chrome and am wary of Facebook.
I'd be more than happy to check a box that says: "Please offer me any/all studies I may be eligible for including add'l questions to see if I'm eligible, with a reasonable stab at assent (not even informed consent). And of course whether data is anonymous (truly, as in after the study even if you wanted to you couldn't figure out which person was which), or not. Not anonymous may be fine....depending on the study. My very best, really, you're great....AND I'd be happy to discuss, advise (see below)...my 'toolbox' isn't simply biomedical. Darren
(Just me being pedantic now ignore this as you wish: And you say "study" ... I'm a researcher (sometimes)...IRB, grants, peer review, publications. Research is the "creation of generalizable knowledge." Is that what you're doing? I suspect you're doing more "quality improvement" where you figure out what works better for you...and SOMETIMES that is generalizeable knowledge (i.e., certain colors make people happy in every browser not Firefox specific), but do you publish it as peer reviewed research? Now, it's TOTALLY FINE if you don't and it's QI....but would specify that and not call it studies...call it...evaluating improvements or whatever. The use of the word 'study' and 'research' drive me nuts since when we talk to people about actual 'studies' and 'research' they conflate that with marketing evaluations of what makes us by more or which candidate we're interested in or how to sell things to us.)

Firefox Monitor notified me of a data breach of an account that was deleted automatically due to inactivity by LiveJournal.com eight years ago. How come my e-mail still got in the data breach that supposedly happened three years ago in 2017 and has just been discovered? It says the breach included e-mails and passwords. I don't even remember what password I used back then and the account is deleted, so I can't log in anymore. Is there anything I should be concerned about? How is this even possible in the first place?

What data does this include?
I'm reluctant to use these notifications at all until I know what they could change without telling me.

I ran into some problems recently as I usually clear out everything that was saved in my internet folder. I go to Tools/Options/Privacy/Security/Clear Data, well, this is about a week, but an INSISTENT 267 bits are REFUSING to go and be let free from my cached web content.
Additionally, I usually run an RKILL scan, a JRT scan, and a Malwarebytes AdwCleaner scan when I've finished logging off, for security reasons. The JRT scan flagged a "staged folder" in my FF profile, and had removed it. The folder had some sort of code in it.
Um, while we're at it, is FF still using IE as a "gateway"? I know at one time it was, but I seem to be also harangued by Searchscopes.
could someone help me out, please.
I'm using FF 76.01 and windows 10.
Thanks so much in advance,
P.S. also got a report that one of my blog tabs had been breached, with an ad from Avast - is this common?

My website sparticipant.dev.pivt.nl is having some issues on Firefox browsers (I'm seeing the issues with Firefox Version 76.0.1 (64-bits) on windows.
When I navigate to my website, I get the following message:
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to sparticipant.dev.pivt.nl. The OCSP response does not include a status for the certificate being verified.
Error code: MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_OCSP_RESPONSE_FOR_CERT_MISSING.
I checked my website's cert and looking at OCSP_RESPONSE_DATA, I think a response is sent. I tried with Chrome and that works well. What am I missing here?

Hey, i can't get authentication popup in this case: Server A Server B 1 site on server A My site is using some files from server B, but server B has password protection access like in .htaccess Problem that i don't get popup required to enter log/pass for server B when i load site from server A to get those files loaded on page. If i go directly to server B and open some page from it i see popup. Also i see popup in Chrome or IE when i'm opening site from server A, but not in firefox. I tried to set different config settings in Firefox but no luck.
