I have forgotten my account password. What is the simplest way to restore my bookmarks and saved passwords after I change the password?

Feeling overwhelmed by the options I found listed!

My google drive keeps disconnecting, and google drive/google docs links are not working. I have attached a screenshot of the new tab page when I copy paste a google sheets document URL into the search bar and hit enter. After the reloading icon animates, I stay on the new tab page and the url just sits there. The debug console shows 1 GET request that is timed out (picture also attached).

I can fix the issue by completely closing all firefox windows and opening again, but it will disconnect me after some minutes.

Once every few days (and now every day) the browser logs out of me from every site/forum where I was logged in and this starts to be really annoying, what can I do?

I have download set to always ask and consequently always get the, "What should Firefox do with this file?" dialogue box. 9 times out of 10 I choose, "Open with ... ". 10 times out of 10 Firefox also downloads the file. How can I stop FireFox downloading files I don't want ?

I am using a Mac and have no idea what this is or how to turn it off, image attached it comes up down the bottom of the taskbar even when firefox is not running. Thanks

For some reason, when I try to autofill with stored credit card information, Firefox (99.0.1) fills the form with credit card number and expiration date when I mouse over a credit card choice, and then when I actually make the choice, the entry gets erased.

I have checked, per an earlier (now archived) question, and there is no "autocomplete off" (or any mention of "autocomplete") in the web page in question.

I don't know if this is a problem with my installation, but websites without specific favicons (e.g.: https://forum.librivox.org/index.php?sid=fd7dca1ba59c207dd25121695677d565) don't have a placeholder icon in the tab. Is this intended behavior? There's the globe icon for bookmarks without favicons, couldn't that be used if a website doesn't have one? I think that would contribute to some visual consistency :)

I have looked across various support forums for information on this, I only see posts regarding favicons and bookmarks, not the tab itself, so apologies if this has been asked and answered already!

Using Outlook web, when viewing pdf documents, it displays strange symbols (incorrect font sets are probably used).

I point out that using Chrome the problem does not arise.

I also installed the microsoft fonts thinking it might solve the problem I attach illustrative image.

It has almost become impossible to continue using this browser. Sadly, I had it as my primary browser for a long time and now I have to switch out everything and move to Chrome or something else.

Thank you for being so cautious and ramping your security features, but not to the extent that it just becomes unusable.

I have FINALLY given up on your sync feature as it keeps adding deleted bookmarks and folders. It is so bad that all the duplication of bookmarks and folders are so random that can mount to thousands and thousands or copies.

I have UN-SYNC all my devices as this cannot go on as I have followed your instructions to the T.

I have never wanted, do not want, and will never want any website to push notifications to my desktop computer. I don't even really want any websites (or your browser) to push notifications to my phone.

Fuckin let me block them with a global settings policy instead of having to click the no button for every piece of shit website that thinks I care about them enough to get nagged in my free time

In order to reproduce:

1. Browse to klarna.com 2. click on [login] and then [login for customers] 3. page will redirect to https://app.klarna.com/login?market=de&utm_campaign=header-login-link&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=klarna 4. (you should have an account, if not just create one and proceed with following step) 5. click on [sign in] 6. enter email assigned with your account 7. click on [Confirm and Continue] 8. (a verification code is sent to the email or phone assigned with your account) 9. enter verification code 10. page will redirect to https://app.klarna.com/ and will show a frame where to adjust settings about how klarna will collect data by tracking technologies. 11. click on any button to close that frame (accept all / required settings only,...) ---> Does not work :-(

On the page: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/manage-downloads-preferences-using-downloads-menu#w_downloads-panel-automatically-opens it says: "Downloads panel automatically opens" "Every time you start a download, Firefox will automatically bring up the Downloads panel by default, . . . "

It never used to do that ! Having the Downloads panel drop down and just sit there covering a large part of the page every time I save a little picture is an extreme nuisance ! How do I prevent it from happening ? Please help ! Many thanks !

I am running Firefox 99.0.1. Lately (probably since the last update) when browsing the web, Firefox will lockup and not be responsive to clicks on hyper links. The issue goes away when I close Firefox and re-open, but after clicking on 3 or four links, it locks up again. MS Edge does not have this problem with the same websites. I did notice in Task Manager that Firefox is opening up 10 processes. Can anyone give some suggestions?

I have credit card autofill enabled, because I do a lot of business online and it is very convenient. Maddeningly, it has started doing something I can't find a way to fix. I put the mouse over the box asking for a credit card number, the saved numbers pop up, I select one, and then the pop-up box disappears without filling in the credit card number. There has got to be a fix for this, but I cannot find it. Pls. advise...

Not sure when it began, probably before the current version, i.e. it's not related to the latest update. When exiting, everything seems fine at first but then Crash Reporter pops up. If I try to restart my Windows/PC with FF open, the restarting becomes blocked by Firefox, so I have to cancel the restart and deal with Crash Reporter first.

The same crash happens in Troubleshoot Mode.

I don't have any special security software (aside from Malwarebytes with real-time protection disabled).

Signature is different (almost) every time but as far as I remember no crash felt any different from the two crashes above. FF updated yesterday with the new Ubuntu 22.04 (Pop) update to 99.01. Since the update the volume control inputs are essentially disabled on all web sites, and they default to max - even when muted.

Example - youtube - all videos play full volume Reddit - even muted videos play full volume

The volume can now only be controlled by the system slider.

The same behavior does not occur in other browsers - e.g. Chromium, Opera, etc.

Can anyone assist?

My browser updated and I seem to have lost all of my saved passwords. I signed in but none of them seem to be saved. Not sure how to get them back or where they went. Is there a way to recover or find them?
