I'm just wondering why I can no longer change book mark size on FF. Even more strange I can't find anyone on the internet who has anything to say about it. Their are some fixes but they are like from three to five years ago. And it's not for the current version of FF. What is going on? Why can I no longer change the book mark size? I have a desktop.

For years had bookmarks in folders showing on Bookmark Toolbar. Today they are all gone. Still in my Bookmarks on the drop down Menu, but not appearing on the Toolbar. Please help. Can't seem to drop and drag them there. Also, the Bookmarks Toolbar keeps disappearing every time I go to look at a new tab.

I received a virus message alert that popped up on my screen. I then hit control alt delete and shut down Firefox, when I reopening it, my bookmarks were gone and not even able to add new bookmarks. An error message stating something like, another program is using the file keeps appearing. I'm able to log into a different computer and my bookmarks are there.

Since the last update of Firefox, I now have to right-click and select "alway Show" the Bookmarks Toolbar. Then it disappears when I go to a site!!! Please tell me this is a glitch and you'll fix it soon because the toolbar always shiowes uder the search bar and this right-click-select is really anoying. I'm trying Firefox again after many years in the Edgy wilderness. In Firefox in Windows, you used to be able to specify where your bookmarks were located. I store all my files (documents, spreadsheets, etc) in a complex structure on my C drive and, ideally, I should be able to store my Firefox bookmarks in the same structure. It just doesn't make sense to store the bookmarks in a separate location. I'm pretty sure you used to be able to do this by specifying the root of the bookmarks structure as c:/Documents, but I can't see how to do it in the current version.

Every time I try to import either json file or html file firefox crashes. I tried a refresh and same thing. This file is coming from another computer. I have tried synching but that fails too even though I am logged into same account. I get no error on synchs, it just does nothing.

Hi, i had a problem with my computer that required me to reinstall windows. Now i downloaded firefox after installing the new windows and logged in my account but no history or bookmarks found.

Upgraded to Firefox 123.0 last night. This problem did not appear until after that event.

Scenario 1: Start Firefox. Make sure Bookmarks toolbar is visible. My home page is set to www.google.com. Sign in Toolbar goes away

Scenario 2: Make sure Bookmarks toolbar is visible. The checkbox IS set to always display Go to another page Toolbar goes away

I am not accidentally turning it off and I notice stiff like this. I am a software engineer manager in my day job. This looks like a new bug in version 123.0

I often like to bookmark a website in multiple folders (e.g. School>Research and Work>Energy). I used to be able to do so by clicking the bookmark star as many times as I wanted and selecting the folder I wanted to save the page to and the page would show up in each folder I saved it to. Now for some reason, when I try to bookmark something in one folder it removes the bookmark from the other folders I saved it to. This is not good for me, why is it happening and how can I rectify this ridiculous change? Thank you.

How do I display bookmarks in a column on my screen; has disappeared recently; menu option seems to have disappeared. Firefox v 123 on Windows 10

I exported bookmarks to an HTML file from Firefox on a Win10 computer. Copied the file over to a new Win11 computer and then imported the bookmarks to a new installation of Firefox.

The bookmarks show up in the "library" that displays when I click on "manage bookmarks" but they do not appear in the toolbar at the top of the page. I don't see any way to get them to show up.

Can you tell me what I need to do? Thanks.

Last time I tried backing up my bookmarks, they were saved in a file that was basically a list, a list that can't be imported back to Firefox bookmarks, but just a list. I would like to know if there's a way to actually export and import bookmarks with one click, rather than me having to add 200 pages from the list manually. When I tried importing the file, the list ended up somewhere random and not where bookmarks are

After re-installing Firefox, my Bookmarks are gone. I could reinstall them as I go along, but my Folders (used to organize) are also gone. Worse: I cannot seem to figure out how to re-create folders or move those Bookmarks I have. Any suggestions.

Hi, I would like to export all my bookmarks once a day. This needs to happen automatically because it will be part of a bigger idea where I will be working with this file etc.

Is there any way to do this? For example: - do it using API directly in the Firefox Sync service? - do it via command line in Windows?

Hi. I'm trying to transfer Firefox bookmarks from a hard drive pulled from a now dead iMac (was IOS 10.13.4 + Firefox 116.6.0) to a MacBookPro laptop running BigSur (11.6.8) and Firefox 122.0.1. I have the iMac HDD plugged into a hot swap docking station. A search for places.sqlite on the old HD turns up nothing.

I have found answers for drilling down into Windows to find the appropriate files to transfer, but not for Mac. I didn't know Firefox Sync existed until now, and I don't know where to look for a profile on the hard drive. Suggestions?

Ok, this is going to be a bigger problem that I thought. The laptop is my wife's old university-owned mac, and there's a whole "admin" layer of hidden and mixed-up folders. I need to go see the admins for help.
