Ubuntu 10.10 - 64 bit - Firefox 4.0 Firefox up & running. Laptop is idle for a while and goes to login window. I login. Firefox re-appears just as I left it with my tabbed sites present as I left it. When I right click on any icon or highlighted area to bring up another tab the tab menu appears but when I move the mouse into it the menu immediately disappears. I have to close and re-open firefox to use the right click tab menu.

I encountered the same problem. A quicker workaround then restarting firefox is to just minimize and maximize. Don't know why but that works.

Thank you for saving me the time and aggravation of restarting. I hope that it will be fixed in a new release of either Ubuntu or firefox, whichever is at fault.

Ok, I've found a permanent solution to this problem. Check this link:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/777014/comments/2

It says: "Go to Edit->Preferences->Content->Advanced (next to 'Enable JavaScript')-> and now make sure 'Disable or replace context menus' is not selected."
