I get the following error when trying to bring up a console windom for my Dell 2162DS IP-KVM: "java.net.MalformedURLException: unknown protocol: socket" with many more descriptive lines following. Any suggestions on what's going on?

The IP-KVM is accessed via the browser to display a list of devices connected to each port. When a device (port) is selected, an attempt is made to start a console window. The 'session_launch.jnlp' file is downloaded to my PC and executed. The Java start window comes up for a while, then it failes and the following error message is displayed.
