Sorting bookmarks in Firefox is ridiculous. It does not work correctly

How to hell does one sort bookmarks by any method. I want to sort them by name. The approach to do this is nonsensical.

 to open the Bookmarks Sidebar, then right-click the Bookmarks Menu folder and select Sort by Name.
