Hello

So for the past couple of months I have had problems with my laptop keyboard. At random times I couldn't type anymore (also not outside of Firefox). To fix the problem I always reinstalled the keyboard drivers so I thought that my driver's were the issue. But this week it happened several times just after openingen the browser so I realised this was the problem. I opened Firefox in safe mode and I didn't have any problems with my keyboard, so I refreshed Firefox but the problem came back. I only use a few extensions that are recommended or made by Mozilla. I have been using an other browser for the last couple of days and haven't had any problems.

Thanks in advance

Hi Lukas, that's pretty strange!

If you manually disable your extensions on the Add-ons page, does that make any difference? If you don't want to risk starting Firefox normally to do that, you can disable them in Safe/Troubleshoot Mode first before restarting Firefox normally. To start Firefox in Safe/Troubleshoot Mode when it isn't running, hold down the Shift key when (double-)clicking its shortcut or toolbar button -- if you are on MacOS, hold down the option/alt key instead of Shift.

Some have reported that pressing F9 and the Windows key simultaneously one or more times has worked to fix issues with the keyboard not working. If this doesn't help then close and restart Firefox or reboot the computer (you may have to reboot more than once).

I disabled a few extensions and right now everything seems to work fine. Next week I will see if my problem is actually solved and if I can pinpoint the extension that was causing a problem.
