Hey,

I've been using Firefox primarily on Windows, and Android, for a long time; and relatively recently, Linux.

Every now and then(most times, it works great, and does not crash), when I open a new private window via the keyboard shortcut (ctrl + shift + p), Firefox crashes, and clicking "restart Firefox" causes it to immediately crash again. I do not even see Firefox reopen, but gets greeted with "Firefox crashed".

I haven't had this issue on Windows or Android before, and have only been experiencing it on Linux. Could be related only to my machine, don't know at this point.

Info: Linux Mint 20.2 x86_64 Cinnamon Kernel: 5.4.0-81-generic Firefox version: 91.0 (64-bit)

Thank you

Are you currently using a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution? Try the Firefox version from the official Mozilla server: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 Submitted crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

Please, Do not post a screenshot ! !

Yeah, I am using a version from the repositories. Firefox came installed with my distro, and haven't reinstalled it. I'll reinstall from the official source, and see if that helps.

Apparently, I haven't configured it to save crash reports, it says in about:crashes. Is that related to the "Privacy & Security -> Firefox Data Collection and Use" in the settings, cause I have disabled all of those, for privacy reasons. I went to about:config, and searched for "breakpad.reportURL", which it found, but it's not set to any value.

If you use Firefox from the repositories then you have a version that doesn't have symbols on the server and that makes it impossible to cross reference addresses to the source code what makes to report of not much use (you only see meaningless addresses).

Okay. Thank you for your time.
