If a someone I do know pops up by their facebook log on name does this mean they have accessed my computer information?I never searched for them on facebook
by allowing me to understand if someone who I do know pops up when I do a search for a town where I once lived. I have never serched for this person on the internet or facebook

If they appear in the Facebook search results, that wouldn't be an indicator that they have any access to your account or computer.
Facebook uses a variety of factors two decide what should be displayed in your search results. Perhaps that other user is from that town or has posted about that town or has marked that they have visited that town. There are tons of reasons why they may appear as a search result.
By the way, where is their FB log on name popping up?
For example, if you clicked in the user name field to log in to a site and someone else's name was suggested instead of yours, that would be troubling. But I assume that's not what's happening, the issue is after you are already logged in to Facebook.
