Daily File Converter just showed up in Firefox. Cannot find a way to eliminate it. It wants to be the browser default page even though I've chosen a different one. I think this installation happened with a firefox update. Anyone else have this issue and how do you get rid of it? Thanks

Hello spalmer,

Would you please go to Options => Add-ons => Extensions and look for anything that you didn't in stall yourself. If you find anything : remove it. Then do the same in Windows Control Panel.

Then take a look at these articles - one is about "Daily File Converter" and the other one about "Daily File Converter New Tab". They may both be referring to the same thing, though.

(scroll all the way down to find the instructions for removal from Firefox)

and :

It might also be a good idea to run all malware scans that are listed here :

(what one doesn't pick up, the other one might)

Thanks McCoy

It looks like the first couple of steps took care of this problem. This is a new laptop and I've only installed a few apps so I'm not sure how this popped up especially since nothing was installed in at least 5 days before this occurred. I think there was a firefox update and I'd hate to think it came inside of that.

Thanks for the help Susan

I'm glad you got rid of the nuisance - they do slip in when you least expect it.

Have a nice day, Susan  !
