I'm having trouble with Firefox Nightly's color management (version 67.0a1 (2019-01-31) (64-bit) on MacOS and Windows).

My color settings in about:config are as follows:

1. gfx.color_management.display_profile – When the path to my monitor's color profile is entered, the colors displayed for images in Firefox do not match the colors of the same image on my desktop or in other browsers. (The colors in Firefox Nightly are much more saturated.) Global color-matching is closer when this field is empty.

2. gfx.color_management.display_profile – True

3. gfx.color_management.mode – 1

4. gfx.color_management.rendering_intent – 0

5. gfx.color – Boolean

Finally, when I try to take a screenshot using Firefox’s native “Take a Screenshot” option via right-click, the colors of the output are completely different from what I see in FireFox AND on my desktop (screenshot colors are much more dull).

Is there a way to manage color settings for Firefox screenshots?

—————

EDIT: Re: #1 — This setting seems to have no consistent bearing on colors shown in Firefox Nightly. Sometimes when I add the path to my monitor profile and restart FF, the colors displayed in FF are extremely bright/neon for reds, etc. Other times, I input or delete the profile path, restart FF, and the colors stay the same.

I've added a screenshot showing a single image in the various circumstances described.

EDIT 2: In case helpful, I also tested using an add-on to take a screenshot (Nimbus Screen Capture). The colors are also completely incorrect and dull, just the same as using Firefox's native "Take a Screenshot" option.

I work in design so I occasionally need to be able to take seamless screenshots of an entire webpage, which can only be done with in-browser tools. It's also important for the color output to be correct.
