In firefox Quantum 64.0 last update, my password update feature not updating changes even though it asks and popup goes away.

I had to change my passwords due to an email hack. When I change them and then go to log in with the new one, I get the firefox popup asking to update. I click update but it does not. When I try to re-login the new password is not there. I re-enter the new one, am asked if I want to update, I click update, still does not.
