I just noticed this and I cannot find any info online.. When i attempt to access settings from the menu firefox either goes to a black screen or briefly displays the settings page (unable to scroll or press anything) before I get an error saying it is unresponsive, and to wait, report or exit. Details of the report are unintelligible to me, and quite frankly I have no idea how to post that here anyways. Anyways, I did some looking and found firefox 45 introduced changes to the settings menu. I know the menu worked for me some months ago, so I installed Firefox 44 apk from the website and the settings menu in that works, which is nice.. But I don't want to be stuck with an un-updated product forever. I didn't see any real security updates since then from what I could find, but I may not have been looking in the right place - is this going to be overtly dangerous to use?

Things I have tried, and points of interest- I have Xposed framework and Xprivacy installed. Phone is rooted. Model is Samsung Galaxy Light SGH-T399. Running android 4.2.2. Disabling various apps, Disabled Xprivacy on FF, enabled (and disabled) sync, moved app to SD storage, restarted phone, reinstalled firefox, tried beta version (immediatly crashes to error report upon pressing settings)... I am at a loss. Does anyone have any ideas what could be going wrong here or what I can do?

Side-note: I also noticed when I attempt to create a homepage shortcut to a book in google books, via the widget (1x1 book icon) it never actually creates the icon on the page, sometimes it says shortcut created and sometimes it doesn't but in neither case does anything show up. I doubt it, but maybe this is related somehow? I'm going to create a topic about that sometime soon as well..

Hello Lunae, I am very glad to serve you with a possible solution.

Firstly, Firefox's latest version is v49.0 for Android. I suggest you to update your Firefox and check if the problem still persists.

Secondly, try moving your Firefox to your Internal Storage, this might be a problem too because many applications crash in External Storage. If the problem still persists, please send a screenshot or please provide additional information.

Also, i would recommend you to uninstall the apk version and install the latest version from the play store.

Thank you :) Hope this helped you.!
