When Yahoo mail come up and it show in 'Green Pad'. Nearly all mails I open to reading, 'Green Pad' change to 'Grey Pad with small yellow triangle', and usually stay to that way until I clicked "Reload Tab" and the pad go back to 'Green'. and most of sites I visited shown in 'Grey global', even in some page where I need to login which gave me some concern about "Connection is Not Secure" all the time.

I cannot find what is caused it, I tried clear "Exceptions" Tab in Windows Firewall Setting, also did 'Restore Deflaut' under "Advanced" Tab, it made no different in the end, I'm not sure whether to attempt with "Refresh Firefox" under Troubleshooting Information will solve the problem of insecure connection?

I felt something it do with FF setting but I do not see any control of connection setting in FF Option apart from "Exceptions" in the Firewall setting that is what i know, btw should ticked on https only or both https & http? What else I should allow especially for FF browser to be secure connection most of the time.

Or I am look at wrong area as I am not expert in this area :/ Appreciated for any advise me what I do or look for?

hello Blaff, regarding yahoo mail - this will be caused by emails which embed content (like an image) that is loaded through a http-connection. the grey lock with the yellow warning still means that the data you view and enter on the site is secure and only transmitted to yahoo.

you can also set up firefox to block the loading of http-elements like images on an otherwise encrypted https-site - then the green lock should always stay in place on your mail: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named security.mixed_content.block_display_content. double-click it and change its value to true.

Mixed content blocking in Firefox

for other websites you browse the site security indicator (gray globe or padlock) is dependent on the site is offering a secure HTTPS-connection. you could try adding a "https://" in front of the web address you're trying to visit to get to the secure version, in case they offer one...

Many thanks for your explaination, I follow what you suggested then check my email, not surprise to see ALL images/photos disappear, which is not I really want as I need to see them in mails.

In the past, I did not have the problem over changable padlocks with Yahoo mail so why FF change it or Yahoo did that? I did not noticed that earlier.

As you explained to that between my yahoo mails/inbox and yahoo in grey padlock with yellow warning is safe so why it show "Connection is Not Secure" in the brower?

I will try to read the content where you forward the link in other time, as it is heavy stuff to reading as I bit worn out after spent lot of time to find what is wrong with the connection.

If Firefox browser will not change or to improvise that issue then maybe it's time for me to consider to try different browser or/and email service provider, to see if they can give me what I need, it's not easy to do, especially used same browser/E.S.P. for many many years.

Thanks for your time
