cut + paste isn't working on windows 11

I can no longer cut + paste out of firefox (or into firefox) on windows 11.

I have followed the instructions for firefox reset, and it has not helpde.

I have run in safe mode and it doesn't help.

version 104.0.2 of firefox, build id 20220902153754

user agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:104.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/104.0

Does it work within Firefox (i.e. you copy some text on a page and paste it in a reply text area like "Post a Reply" on this forum) ?

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window
