I have about six emails and would like to find them all on Thunderbird. These include iCloud, gmail, design.net.au, and outlook. I find managing the installation difficult. Any ideas to simplify this process?

hope that's the correct place to ask a TB calendar (formerly: Lightning) question?

I am using categories for different types of calendar entries and wonder whether there is a way to search/select only entries with a specific category (i.e. Anniversary) in the "Find Events" pane?

The category seems not to be a search item i.e. for "All Events" contain ....

I updated from TB 115 to 116. I had to re-enter email and calendar (to Google) connection info. Calendar does not display. Email and Contacts seem alright. Is Provider still needed?

It seems that ever since my Thunderbird auto-updated to 128.5.1, sending messages with attachments is VERY slow. I just sent a client an email with a 6.9 MB attachment and it took over 2 minutes to send. A few weeks ago, that would have gotten sent in seconds. I tried cleaning out my Inbox and Sent box by moving most of the messages to local folders, but no change. Any thoughts? Anyone else having this issue?

I have been using a Dell keyboard for many years, ````````````````````````````````````````````````````

I have a Dell keyboard mdl SK-8135 that I have been using for many years. The one feature I liked was the fact that it had an email hot key along the top of the keyboard that would open my Thunderbird email. Recently however that button when depressed opens my browser and not Thunderbird.

I'm not sure why this is happening but I would appreciate any help or suggestions as to what I can do to get this dedicated key to once again open Thunderbird. I guess it would help if I mentioned that I am currently using Windows10.

I've been using Thunderbird v102 for quite a while until Supernova was stabilized. I finally upgraded and Thunderbird was updated to v128. I was able to configure it to what it looked like in v102. However, when I compose an email and try to drag and drop a file (e.g. a ".pdf" file) onto the compose pane of the new email window it doesn't work. I've tried a variety of things, including saving my old profile, creating a new profile, then trying to write a new message, and finally trying to drag and drop a file for an attachment. This no longer works. I can, however, click on the "Attach" icon at the top of the write window and within a few clicks, and some searching, and a few more clicks, can attach a file.

What happened? And is this fixable? Why does all new software make it more difficult to do simple tasks that have worked for years, thinking it makes life easier by making it more difficult? Sigh...

In the middle of using Thunderbird it froze. I restarted it and it gave me a screen asking for all of my email credentials. It then started an install of the most recent release of Thunderbird (which I was not trying to do) whereby it needed to download all of my past emails, settings, etc. My Quick Text add-on was completely deleted and much of my "Sent Email" box was deleted along with all the tags I had assigned to my emails.

I am just looking for the version of the Thunderbird I was using up until 8:00 last night. Is there a way to get back to it? This is horrific timing as well since I am at the height of my busy season with work. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

In Outlook, both the classic and new versions, there's a feature beneath the subject line and date that provides a one-line preview of messages. This feature is incredibly useful for identifying spam and getting an overview of the content before clicking into messages. I noticed that Thunderbird doesn't offer this type of functionality. After some research, I found two outdated plugins that previously offered this capability in column view, but they no longer work. Is there a way to implement this feature in Thunderbird, or are there any plans to reintroduce it? It's a significant feature that is currently the only thing preventing me from fully switching to Thunderbird.

So have Win11 , TB128.5.1esr (64-bit). Been running "TB" since it since it was Eudora 1.0.

I have an account set up to fetch my Gmails , set up as a POP. I've already unchecked... Tools/Account Settings/google pop account/server settings... -Check for new messages at startup -Check for new messages every -Fetch headers only And in "Advanced" , "include this server when getting new email" is greyed out and unchecked.

The google POP account uses it's own folders, not the "local folders, as does all my other pop accounts in TB.

When ever I click, "Get Messages" , the google POP account gets checked, and downloads emails.

How do I "disable" it from being part of the "Get Messages" button/command?

I have a new computer running Ubuntu and I want to move my Thunderbird profiles from a windows 10 machine. The problem is the windows 10 machine is running version 133.0 of Thunderbird and the latest stable release of Thunderbird for linux is 128.0. How do I move the profiles?

Thunderbird refuses to send messages with embedded pictures. No error message. Just a flicker at "send" and then, nothing happens. I use a combination of gmail and Thunderbird if that matters.

Today when I launched Thunderbird it opened the program to Account Setup window. I clicked the Inbox tab at the top and I noticed all my folders were gone as will as all my email accounts, saved emails, calendar setting, basically it looks like a fresh install. An internet didn't offer much help. I did find some info about Troubleshooting Information from the Help option and found the profile folder location. It looks like there are still folders there but I am not sure what they really contain. I tried installing Thunderbird on top of the current program but it made no difference. I also tried an Import of the Default file location that Thunderbird suggested and I got an error message that the Import failed unexpectedly. I've scanned my PC for any viruses and found none. I am using the latest version of Windows 11. Seems like a weird problem as I used Thunderbird yesterday with no problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx,

Effective 5 Decmber 2024 Thunderbird has been unable to download emails. WOW is my ISP and I can download them there from this computer. I can download on my iphone and my wife's ipad. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. It changed nothing.

On 29 Nov 2024, TBird stopped downloading all emails from all my accounts. I have not changed anything on the computer and have run all the troubleshooting routines I can find for TBird. Still not working. Interestingly, when Better Bird import the settings from TBird, it exhibited the same issues. Any suggestions?
