The majority of emails going to my inbox are being automatically moved to trash when I exit. I want to return to all emails going to my inbox and I manually make the determination if its trash or not

The sent message is deleted but I get Filter action Failed.

I am getting a lot of email dated a month of more in the future. How do I best filter these out as junk? I tried making a regular filter, but can't find a way to set it to "greater than today."

i have lot of junk mails as scam in my inbox folder daily ,, why cant they move into junk folder as i already setup ,, am i miss something at setup? Michael Thompsett

A category (Daily Brain something) of emails that are clearly spam (you even think they are spam) are landing in my Inbox every day. I have my email set to not allow emails from any addresses that aren't in my book. If I follow their 'unsubscribe' link, I just get more of them. I have found that once an email is put in the trash it will automatically be removed/deleted from the trash.

Today is June 14th and there are no emails in my trash folder older than June 9th.

Is there an account setting in Thunderbird for how long an email once in the trash folder will remain there?

Note, this behavior only occurs in the trash folder.

Using Mac Tahoe latest and Thunderbird 140.11.1esr (aarch64)

Despite my marking messages several times as NOT spam, Thunderbird keeps on and on RE-marking them as spam. And the mails are coming from one of my own addresses, and they ARE in my address book!!!!!

There seems no way that I can stop the beast from misbehaving.

I have 6 email accounts linked to Thunderbird. I noticed today on one of the accounts, along with inbox, drafts, sent, etc., there is now a spam icon. I didn't change any settings or even look at that email account today. This is the only account with that icon and it won't allow me to delete it. All settings between all accounts are the same, just this dang spam fire icon that I can't delete

Settings have been set to move Spam to my spam folder. Although Spam is identified it does not get moved to my Spam folder. It used to happen but an upgrade a while back seemed to stop it happening. I have tried undoing and re-doing settings to no avail. Can someone help please?

Some mail in my spam folder is marked with the red flame spam icon, and some isn't. It's all spam -- that part is okay. Thunderbird has sorted everything correctly. But why wouldn't everything in the spam folder be marked as spam?

When I get spam email in my inbox, I mark it as SPAM. It will arrive again in a couple of days. Why does it come into my in-box still? Its marked as SPAM in my In-BOX!

I don't want to keep touching junk email!!! its a huge waste of time. I cannot find the settings on how to make that action happen.

Please advise. If this isnt possible I will unfortunately be leaving your platform after decades of use. Yes I have donated several times over the years. Not get rich money, but it all helps.

When I receive a junk email, it spends a brief time in my inbox before being moved to the spam folder by the automatic classifier of Thunderbird. In that brief window, the notification system already displays the notification. I found no way of changing that behavior. Is this normal behavior? How to change it?

A few weeks ago I began getting spam in my inbox from about ten senders (Omaha steaks, C0stco, Marriot, Harbor Freight, Harbor Tools, Ace, Lowes, CVS, Blue Cross) and no matter what I do, I can’t make it stop. In fact, the numbers have grown higher every day - probably now over 100. Marking them as junk doesn’t work. I have triple-checked all my settings. And setting up specific filters with these names hasn't worked. I don’t have a spam add-on but I see here in Support complaints about SpamAssassin’s ineffectiveness.

Is anyone else getting junk from these specific senders? Has anyone discovered a way to banish them?

I have forwarded (from my Thunderbird account) an email from our local hospital about an appointment to my mailfence address three times now, but all three were deemed undeliverable by the mailer-Daemon. I removed all links on the third attempt in case that was the problem, but no luck.

Error code: 554 Rejected : Spam ?

How do I do that? Is my question. Is there a 'Postmaster' address to use?

Folder one: Spam .... this is the new one, automatically installed through a thunderbird program . Mails by filter marked as spam now get sent to THIS Folder. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Folder two: Spam .... this was up to now the correct existing one. ('Spam gemeldet' means: Spam mails sent to the government anti-spam authority.) So: this folder nr. 2 should be eliminated, as the folder nr. 1 seams to be the normal working one.
