I have an eMac OS 10.5.6. I want to download Firefox 3.0 but cannot find it - I have FF 2.0

You can get the last version of Firefox 3.0 from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.0.19-real-real/mac/en-GB/ (I selected the en-GB version as that is what you currently have)

The latest version of Firefox that works on the PPC Mac is Firefox 3.6, available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
