Firefox scrolls to the bottom of the page when I press the down arrow, instead of moving through the text.
When I press the down arrow on Firefox, it scrolls to the bottom of the screen. I'm almost always just trying to move the vertical scroll bar down one or two picas (or however you measure it). This didn't used to happen until about 2009. Any suggested fixes?

In Firefox 3.6 and newer versions you can disable the F7 shortcut that toggles caret browsing by setting the pref accessibility.browsewithcaret_shortcut.enabled to false.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
this is driving me crazy.
Did you try hitting the F7 key?
Yea, I saw that after I posted. Much better. Thank you. What is the default setting? I don't remember ever explicitly setting it one way or another. I just noticed it wasn't what I was used to after upgrading to 3.6.3.
