2FA QR Code is not accepted
Hi all, I am from germany, so my english is proably not that good...I will tray anyway...
I use the app 2FAS on my smartphone and wanted to pair the firefox browser with this app. I have logged in to my Mozilla account and started the whole process. When the QR Code was created, I tried to pair with my smartphone by a foto. Didn´t work, the code has an incorrect format. I tried to type in the code manually, didn´t work either. The code is much too long.
Now I sit in front of my mobile devices and can´t do anything.
Would you help me please?
Thanks in advance! Andrea

Hello,
It sounds like you specifically are having trouble signing in on your phone using the QR code, so try these steps to sign in a different way (some labels on your phone might read differently if you use a different language):
if you use Android phone:
1. Open the Firefox app on your phone 2. Tap the three dots button in the upper right corner 3. Tap "Settings" 4. Tap "Sync and save your data" 5. When you see a page to "Sign in with your camera", instead tap the button labeled "Use email instead" 6. Enter your Mozilla account credentials
if you use iPhone:
Sync bookmarks, logins and browsing history on Firefox for iOS
Please let me know if you need more help!

Hi, thanks a lot for your quick response!
My problem is not about signing in to mozilla but about paur the firefox browser with the app 2fas (it's a two factor authentification app, which needs to be paired with firefox). This App creates a qr code which I can't enter in mozilla mask privided for this purpose.
Is it now a little better to buy?
Thanks for yourr help again!
KR Andrea
Oh I see.. If you absolutely need to use 2-factor authentication I believe your only option is the authenticator app. Maybe you could try using another one in case the one you are using now is causing an issue? Otherwise the only other option is to type in the long key into the one you already use, you should only need to do it once; after that it should generate the usual 6 digit codes.
Please let me know if this is of any use!
