Hello,

I'm using Linux Mint 17.3 (Rosa). Firefox version is 78.7.1 esr-linux amazon. I want to update to the latest Firefox that would work with this version of Linux Mint. It seems maybe this can't be done anymore. Looking at Firefox software on the machine, it says it's Up to Date. I really still want to update it. I know Mint 17.3 is really old and will replace it. Firefox does work, but I'm now getting sluggish Internet because Firefox can't handle all the security requirements. So many web pages don't very well anymore. Can someone help?

Interesting... So what happens when you download and try to run. Try downloading Firefox from Mozilla. Download, unzip, and run firefox-bin from the folder and see if you have the same issue. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

If that only shows esr version, just get it from here. https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/
