I followed the instructions in the aritcle on the search page and it still didn't work. I worked with Geek Squad. They completely did all kinds of different settings and they all failed. When I click the test button, it says it connects successfully.

It tells me to retry or update the password.

I am absolutley typing in the correct password.

I am getting this message. 'Sending of the message failed. The message was not sent due to exceeding the allowed number of recipients. You’ve reached your sending limit. Don’t worry, you can send again soon.

Is something wrong with the system?

Beim Eingeben von Text in ein E-Mail springt der Cursor in das Erinnerungsfeld und stopt die Zeicheneingabe. Das ist sehr störend und verhindert flüssiges Email schreiben. Ich verwende Firefox und Thunderbird auf einem Windows PC der die Bedingungen für Win 11 nicht erfüllt und dem ein Win 11 trotzdem installiert wurde weil entsprechende Anpassungen vorgenommen wurden. When I attempt to send an email in Thunderbird I get an extensive string of gibberish that I have to delete before I can send the email. What can I do to get rid of this huge irritation? Thanks

I have Mozilla Thunderbird Meddow 158.01 . I have registered my name with Mozilla inserted my name in the dialog box turning "Their network" to "Your Network" . I put in a primary password to keep out hackers, Mozilla still wouldn't work. A friend suggest I change the primary password, still didn't work. I switched things around trying to get Thunderbird to work. Thunderbird still couldn't send or receive.

Recently there was a Mozilla update Immediately after that, I found thatmy outgoing email messages failed I got an error box saying two things 1 - a header saying: "Password required for Outgoing (SMTP) Server smtp.dsl.pipex.com" 2: an insruction saying: "Enter your password for "My.email.com" on smtp.dsl.pipex.com" - and a texy-box for this suppode pasword WHER do I enter it / WHY has it changed / .. as I cannot easily find the box or page to insert this password, which I do not recollect seeing before

I have this problem since a couple of days, it is new . When I move my emails in local ordners then they stay in the web.de Inbox on the server and in the app. What can I do that they are automatically deleted when I move them in local ordners?

It has been some days that any email I reply via thunderbird is not saved/copied in the "sent" folder, although I checked both "sent" folder and “Place replies in the folder of the message being replied to”。

It was all OK before: my replies were in both "sent" folder and in the tree of inbox. However, now my reply only shows in inbox. The only way I find now to have my reply in the "sent" folder, is to uncheck the "Place replies in the folder of the message being replied to" option, but I want my reply in both folders as how it was before.

This is extremely annoying, as I can't know if the email has been correctly sent or not. How can this be fixed?

Since upgrading to a recent version of Thunderbird ESR (a few weeks ago), I regularly receive notifications of error for a Yahoo mail account. I do not receive these notifications for other mail accounts. The notifications are as follows:

• The current operation on 'inbox' did not succeed. The mail server for account example@yahoo.com responded: p.
• The current operation on 'inbox' did not succeed. The mail server for account example@yahoo.com responded: UID FETCH completed.

I have deleted and recreated the account to no avail. Searches for similar issues has revealed nothing of use.

Any idea what is going on?

Every time I send an email to more than 25 or so recipients, the message does not send and I need to reverify my Hotmail account. After I do that, I resend and it goes thru fine. Not sure what the problem is. Thanks,

My Thunderbird account is reciving, but won't send I have changed nothing ( BUT - I noted a firefox update just now - has this caused the glitch? ) How do I get "SEND" back on my emai, please?

I seem to have done something rather disastrous. This morning when starting up my inbox is empty and though i have sent test messages from other mail platforms and they arrive in my Gmail account they are not downloaded to my Thunderbird. I did change the Gmail conversation option, because i want each mail to be separated. The combining of all related mail confuses me. I have reset the option but nothing has changed. All the other folders are intact and if i open "All Mail" every message is still there including the added test messages. Can anybody figure out what i have done and help me restore my Inbox? What if i re-install Thunderbird or something like that?

Here's hoping. I really do not want to access my mail online via Firefox. Thunderbird is my only way of managing 158.0mail.

When I attempt to write or forward an email, the send option is grayed out and I can not send. But I can reply to an email and the send icon is active. Could this have something to do with the fact that I have had a substantial number of emails and I have used thunderbird for many years causing a pointer to flip? If so is there a way to fix this?

Details: Write/forward email send disabled, reply email works fine. Thunderbird for Linux Mint mint-001 - 1.0 153.4.0esr (64-bit). Linux Mint 22.1

Thunderbird has been receiving emails on my PC from Bell Sympatico for years, then suddenly stopped in July 2026 without my changing any settings, and I have to go to the Bell server instead.
