How to stopstop Firefox from searching within the address bar( location bar )
When I type my info request in the Google search box below the Firefox logo on the home page, I would like to have my search start there and not shift to the URL bar above. I have tried everything to stop this process ( that I know of ) and nothing works.

You can try 1 - Go to Configuration Editor for Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-config-editor-firefox 2 - Enter a search term browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar You can double-click on the preference to set the value to false
