When will the Theme Font & Size Changer add-on be available for Firefox Quantum?
I just updated to Firefox Quantum (57.0) and the font sizes in the menu bar and the bookmarks toolbar have gotten small. One suggestions was to download an add-on called Theme Font & Size Changer but this is not compatible with Firefox Quantum. So, apart from buying a very very large magnifying glass, what do I have to do to increase the font sizes? When will this add-on be available for Quantum? Thanks

V62 is not compatible with FF. If the developer has come out with a new version that actually is fully functional where is it?

Hello, the add-on is now available, you can get it here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/theme-font-size-changer/
See my post dated 11-16-2017 .......
Look at the reviews though :

Again, V62 is not fully functional with FF. Your link takes me to V62. If the developer has fixed this addon where is it?

V62.0 is the latest, updated, version. But why do you think I mentioned the reviews ?
I downloaded the link you provided but it does not work still. There is no menu to bring up the fonts and size.
It's over a month now since I asked this question and nothing has changed. It seems to me that this forum is a waste of time. Mozilla just isn't interested in solving these issues. I guess it's time to start looking around for another browser. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I just switched browsers to Waterfox today and downloaded the previous version of Theme Font & Size Changer (version 56) and it works great with Waterfox. In fact, Waterfox is just like the old Firefox, I much prefer it and it seems faster than Quantum. </blockquote>
I noticed the same thing. After finally figuring out that that Quantum CAN'T be fixed because of how it's built, I switched to Waterfox and found it's everything I wanted Firefox to do and it IS quite a bit faster. Since they're supposed to use the same source, I don't understand why it works so much better than the latest and (not) greatest effort for Firefox. </blockquote>
Question: How do I find the Version 56 for Theme Font Size changer, that you referred to? I just switched to Waterfox but all I seem to get is the Firefox add ons & the one they offer is the new version that is not compatible

My initial reaction was : Well, you're saying that the volunteer contributors on this support forum, who have been looking for an answer, have just been wasting their (spare) time. Ouch.
But after I counted to ten, and went over this whole thread and especially your original post, I must say that we have been too focussed on the Theme, Font and Size Changer add-on, while all you want is to increase certain fonts.
So now I want to ask you : Would you please take a look at the Chosen Solution in this thread and see if maybe that will work for you ?
I switched to Waterfox browser also but couldn't figure out how to get the Theme Font Size Changer to go back to old version 56. Finally figured it out & yay, got the version I like back again, so now a happy camper. Will stick with Waterfox. Seems strange, though, that, if it's a different browser, you still have to use Firefox add ons with it, it doesn't have it's own selection of add ons.
Dear Happy112 If we gave the impression that we thought the volunteer contributors were wasting their time, we apologize. Our complaint with the forum is that Mozilla and Firefox is offloading their tech responsibilities onto a volunteer community instead of employing paid techies to fix their product. If Waterfox is the answer, why didn't they do that instead of the defective Quantum upgrade. We will try Waterfox but I am leaning to going back to Safari.

Dear CJHa,
Before you do anything that you may regret, would you please take a look at the solution in that thread I gave you a link to ? And if that isn't it either : Who knows, somebody else may see this thread and come up with the perfect solution for you ........ Don't give up on the best browser on the planet just yet - there's a reason you've been using it so far .......
I tried the Waterfox idea and am so happy to see again.

I think that Waterfox uses Firefox code - just with some of the things removed that the -original- Firefox was developed to escape from before they went commercial and joined the crowd. It's an attempt to get back to the original Firefox code of ethics. That's where the name comes from - fire and water as opposites. It uses the add-ons developed for Firefox because it basically IS Firefox with the problem parts stripped back out. One other thing I've noticed is that I can open a test page and then open every link in a new tab and have 200-250 tabs open at the same time and it stays stable. Firefox bombs out and freezes my laptop at about 150 tabs, same site.
Can we stop talking about 'Waterfox' please ?
CJHa started this thread and this is totally getting off topic.

It's certainly ON topic. If Quantum is designed to deliberately block the use of these necessary add-ons, it's the only solution the original poster is going to be able to use.

The OP's original post says :
" the font sizes in the menu bar and the bookmarks toolbar have gotten
small "
There are other ways to deal with that issue - not just use add-ons.
Hence I suggested to look at the Chosen Solution in this thread, to see if maybe that will work for CJHa as well.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1186162
Trying to convince the OP of this thread (and others) to use another browser is not what this support forum is for.
I don't know about anyone else but, for me, using the add on Theme Font Size Changer is what I want, as I can not only change the font & the size but also the color, if I want. I didn't mind the Firefox Quantum upgrade but, since this add on is not available with it, I will use the Waterfox option. If Firefox Quantum gets "fixed" to allow the add ons we used to be able to get, then I "may" go back. So far, I am happy with Waterfox. Sorry if you think we are making a big issue about all this but, for me, anyway, the more you push me to use what you say I should use & it doesn't work for me, the more I will go the other way & use something that does work for me.
@ SUNSHINE47 :
Again : this thread is about CJHa's question - see my last post.
And as the OP hasn't replied to my (repeated) suggestion to take a look at the Chosen Solution in that thread :
I'm done here.
I switched to Waterfox. And could finally see again. But today the add on does not work after working so well yesterday. Who did that!!! NOT HAPPY.
